| Hunter Hunted What do you do when you will become the hunted? Do you shot at the animal or just back off?
If ever I will face this situation, I might have to shoot the animal. I never experienced this and I hope it never happens.

| I've never been in that situation either but if I was it wouldn't take me a split second to raise my gun and defend myself. I've no problem with shooting an animal that is ready to kill me. Kill or be killed.

| I wonder who would not fire when you are threatened? I won't be thinking of saving the animal when my life is at stake. I will definitely shoot an animal that is going to attack me.

| I have heard quite a few stories about wild boars attacking people when cornered. I mean, how could they not, it's a primal instinct. You have to be really focused to shot, let alone aim in that moment.

| Why would you have a gun if you don't know if you would use it?

| I was up north once on snowshoes and realized that something was behind me in the dark and stalking me. I turned every so often and looked but didn't see anything. Then I did. I turned and saw a pair of eyes glowing at me. I had already reloaded my shotgun with 00Buck. I aimed right between those glowing coals and fired. Range was about thirty yards. I reloaded quickly and waited.
Nothing happened so I walked out. I didn't want to know what was stalking me. I just wanted out.

| I had a coyote follow me from my deerstand towards my pickup once.
That got disconcerning real quick so I shot the thing.
