Default hunting license

So I haven't told my boyfriend that I'm learning about hunting cause I don't want to go with him. I thought I'd ask ya'll here about how to get a hunting license or if I even need one. Any ideas?

What state do you live in? You will need one anywhere and you will have to take a Hunter Safety Course too. You can call your forestry office, that's what I done.

I think it is mandatory to take the hunter safety courses in all states now. You will have to do that before you can do anything else.

I don't think I'd have thought to call the forestry office! What a great tip. Thanks. I've been thinking about getting my license and this saves me trying to figure out how/where.

I'll look into a Hunter Safety course! Thanks for the information. I'm excited to try it out and show my boyfriend how to do it right.

I thought Wal Mart down here in Florida used to offer a license. Now they have a hunter safety requirement, so I do not think they offer it anymore, but not sure. You can also google "hunting license state" and it should take you to your states license site. Florida allows you to apply online (for a fee of course), if you have already taking the safety course.
