Default Monster Bucks

Did anyone in your area get a monster buck this year? I saw four really big bucks in the local paper this year. The spreads seem to get bigger every year.

None for us, although there are still a few days left for bow season so there is still a good chance or at least I hope so.

I wish I could hunt big bucks but I can't in my area. There are just no deers around or they are far from where I'm living. I will just have to make do with wild ducks.

The largest one I saw in person was one my father hit with a car. It totaled his VW Bug. It was a massive deer. The sad part was it was killed right down the road from where I hunt. I could have shot it eventually. Ha!

A cousin of mine did but I have not been out so far, been stuck indoors sick as a dog and I really miss the outdoors. There is no way I could imagine hitting something more than a fly with a VW Bug.

There is a DEER Herd, that migrates east to west, in Northern California. We hunt them in the east end during august,(bow season), then again in the west,(rifle season) OCT.
F &G wanted to have a DOE hunt to thin out the herd.(they were worried about starvation) The herd numbered, about 1,200, The "powers that be", decided, a DOE hunt was Not "politcally Correct". Fish & game argued, & lost, NOW the HERD is only about 200!(they did starve) The ecomomy of the whole area is screwed,& we have to find another herd?
