Default Inflatable Canoe

I was wondering about inflatable canoes and what manufacturers might be good. Also, are there any things to watch out for when buying one of these?

Take a look at the Amazon, there are some quite interesting choices available, and reviews are always helpful. For example, these look very promising:
Amazon.com: Sevylor Inflatable Colorado Canoe: Sports & Outdoors
Amazon.com: Sevylor Inflatable Tahiti Classic Kayak: Sports & Outdoors

Thanks man, I like those options. Price of $100 is not that high. As a matter of fact it's quite affordable! I will look into this subject further.

Seriously? You can go out in blow up canoes? How safe and durable are the? I would be afraid to go in any real water with something like that.

I`m with you Dodger. I would be to afraid to go too far in an inflatable canoe. If your just in a river that you can swim to shore it wouldn`t be bad. Has anyone here ever used one of these? How durable are they?

These can stand the collision with hard objects without a scratch in oppose to hard-shell canoes, which will crack immediately. But inflatable version are sensitive to needle sharp objects.

One would think that a sudden impact would cause the vessel filled with air to expand and bust or at least that is what I would think. What if you run over a high stump? Those are all in the lakes here.
