Back to school

It's almost back to school time around here. Have the schools in your area headed back already? Did you or do you have any big last minute outdoor extravaganzas planned to celebrate the end of summer?

Schools here aren't allowed to start until after Labor Day. They all go back September 7th! I would love to go camping or canoeing before summer is gone completely.

Our kids go back in September too. Nothing big planned right now. We already took our vacations for the Summer. We just plan on doing some small shorter camping trips in the area.

My kids go back in September as well. Hard to do anything major this time of year with sports practices and such at schools already. I don't know how they expect your kids to enjoy the summer when they have to show up for practice for 3 weeks prior to summer ending.

The kids around here are already back in school. I remember when I was a kid and we didn't start until September. Seems like these days kids are getting less and less of a summer break.

I think the schools that go back in August typically get out of school in May don't they? I think an end of summer party would be fun. Wish I was still in school!

We do not have any major things planned. We are going to take the kids sailing and on a hike and then go to a carnival. That will be the last thing we do before school starts for them.
