| First Aid Kits Do you bring this whenever you do some outdoor activities? What is the most important part of the kit to bring if you need to carry just one? What medicines should always be available inside our backpacks?

| I don't think I could pick just one thing out of my kit. At the very least I would need my Neosporin and some bandages. Besides the Neosporin, I also keep some ibuprofen with me.

| I have pain relief that is appropriate for each of the people with us, age wise. I have basic first aid stuff too that will clean and dress a variety of wounds, and allow me the means to immobilize breaks to most bones. I also have sun cream and after sun in it.

| I don't bring a boxed first aid kit. I take a large ziploc bag and I put bandages, tape, antiobiotic cream, anti itch medicine, and tylenol in it. I am not way out in the wilderness when I go camping or hiking so I think that is sufficient for my needs.

| I keep bandages, neosporin, antiseptic cleaner, Tylenol, tape and hot and cold packs. I use whatever I can find on the trail for immobilization. Fortunately, other than small scrapes we have never had any major injuries while camping. Oh, I almost forgot the burn cream.

| Other than the items mentioned above, I never forget to bring sunscreen. The other item I always bring is a bottle of eye drop. I have sensitive eyes so I would always need it.

| Eye drops are definitely a good thing to include even if you don't have sensitive eyes and something not included in most packaged first aid kits.

| I'm building a first aid kit for my kayak. One thing I am going to add to that one is a celox travel package. They are slightly larger then a wet nap package and is a homeostatic agent. It is supposed to help clot the bood fast, within a few minutes depending on the size of the wound.

| I never thought about eye drops, but that is a good idea. We always have some bandages, Neosporin, ibuprofen, something fro itching, and sunscreen for our hikes. Like Adventurelover, we just hike on local trails, so we really aren't too far from everything. Our kit for camping is more extensive.

| I too hadn't considered eye drops. I wouldn't take those necessarily but some kind of eye wash in case of debris getting in the eye would be hugely useful.
