Hello Everyone,
I'd like to play the instagator here and ask what everyone's feelings are on the new law passed that allows us as American's to carry guns in OUR national parks.
Here is a news clipping from the
Seattle Times. Leave it to the Northwest hippies to have opinions like this.
In my opinion it is a great step for those of us that enjoy the companionship of a concealed weapon. I personally carry everywhere I go, unless of course it's not authorized. Without going into a long drawn out explanation I will say that my basis for supporting this law is the "what if" case. What if you and your family get attacked by a rabid animal while hiking. I enjoy having the comfort of knowing that I will be able to keep my family safe.
Some people might argue that they are afraid of what others will do with THEIR weapons while camping. If it is a responsible gun owner then there will be nothing to fear, like this "writer" from the paper. I am a conservative, and nothing aggravates me more then hardcore liberals. But that is getting off topic and I hate politics.
What are your opinions?
