Antietam... Just Returned

I just got back from Antietam and Gettysburg. I go to Gettysburg as often as possible, but it was my first time at Antietam. It's really a great place for hiking, biking, etc. Actually both places are.

Gettysburg also offers horseback riding... didn't see any at Antietam though.

Just checking in today to see if there have been any replies to this one... we've planned a return trip in a few weeks and I'd love to hear of some new things to do.

Shepherdstown is nearby, go check it out. You can also go tubing down the C & O Canal there. Or ride your bikes along the Canal.

That is sooo cool. I was a small child when my parents took us kids to learn about history. Our vacations included museums and fun. Now when hiking through the woods I always wonder who else back in history saw what I see now, or how it looked different then.
