Default Florida State Parks

My husband is on the road for business this week and he was driving through the Florida panhandle today. He said there are a ton of state parks in that area. I haven't been in that area of Florida for many moons, but I do know that it is commonly referred to as the Redneck Riviera, lol.

In a couple of weeks he may have to pass through there again and I might go with him so we thought we could make a mini vacation out of it. Does anyone know about the parks in this part of Florida? Do you have a favorite?

There is one park up near there I really want to go to. I cannot remember the name right now, but it is a huge sink hole or something like that. You walk down into it and they say it is like a mini-rain forest.

I will have to look through my passport book and see if anything stands out. Anything you want do in the park? Kayak, bike ride, hike?

This place isn't in the panhandle, but it looks really cool. Devil?s Millhopper State Park

It is near Gainesville so if you happen to be in that area it is probably worth checking out. Looks like a very relaxing hike

Nice find Alexis. It is only 2 1/2 hours north from me. Sounds like an excuse to camp up that way and see the park.
