Default New to the Forum

I am new to the forum, I have a love of outdoors and spend as much time as I can out in it. I love camping, hiking and just sitting outside and enjoying nature. I hope I can learn some new things and share some things I know as well.

It's hot and muggy where I am, were having highs of 40, which is over 100 for any of you american folks. Hopefully the impending storm will clear up the weather.

Yes I too am a Cannuck. I am from Nova Scotia as well, we too are bracing for Hurricane Earl. We just cancelled all our plans and decided to stay home and stay safe. I am from a fishing village.

My family on my Mom's side are all Newfies and Blue-nosers too. I am the first generation to be living out west, but they are all from various villages, and some are still in the Sydney area. My father's side are all from around the Sault St. Marie area - Echo Bay / Central Algoma.

Good luck with Earl and I hope everyone comes through it okay.

Thanks. My family is all from here, came over in various forms in the 1700's. My dad worked 20 yrs on the road in Cape Breton, we have spent some time there over the years.
