Anyone Ever Eat...

...Wild turkey? We have. The only part that is any good to eat though, as far as I'm concerned, is the breast meat. My husband shot one during turkey season and we thought it would be sort of like tame turkey. Well, it's not. It's way to gamey to stand to eat it. He loved the tail though and had that mounted. But I am NOT going to bother to ever cook one again.

Wild turkey is good but it's not for everyone. I like the dark meat a bit better but it is an acquired taste since it's not like a farm raised turkey. And watch out for the pellets too!

LOL @ peanut! Yup, those pellets can be rough on the teeth. I like it personally. The dark meat is moist and I would prefer it but I can eat any of it. It's like any wild game, you really have to acquire a taste for it.
