Cinnamon Roll Ups

We haven't tried these yet but I found the recipe in a Jiffy mix cookbook. They sound delicious and the next time we go camping, I'm taking the ingredients. We may try these out on the gas grill to see how it goes before we try it at the campsite.

2 cups "Jiffy" Baking Mix
Margarine or butter melted
2/3 cup water
cinnamon-sugar mixture


Stir baking mix and water together to form a dry dough-if necessary, add more baking mix. Place dough on a floured piece of aluminum foil and pat or roll until the dough is 1/2 inch thick. Brush top with melted margarine or butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll the dough into the shape of a jelly roll and cut into 1" pieces. Place close together on lightly greased aluminum baking sheet. Allow dough pieces to double in size. Bake with moderate heat 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned on bottom.

These sound delicious. Those Jiffy mixes are so inexpensive too! I might try making it at home some cold Sunday afternoon and if they are as good and easy as they sound, they will be on my camping list too.

Wow, these even sound good for a cold winter morning treat. I think I'll try to make them on Sunday right in the oven. What would you consider moderate heat in the oven? Of course I'll give them a try over the camp grill too next season.
