Dry rub vs. sauce

I am about the same for the most part, but I also use the sauce for dipping more than anything. The rub gives it an extra kick than I like and the sauce, well I like to dip?

I not much for rubs, but I am a fan of the Memphis Dry Style ribs.

I usually use a little S&P and smoke it. then I hit with a good hot sauce or hot vinegar, especially on pork.

I like to butterfly a whole bird, brine it and smoke it. It will add that extra bit of moisture if you are planning on a longer slower cook time.

I do both dry rub, marinade, whatever. Not picky. I guess if I have time then marinade, if no time then dry rub. As long as I have a beer in my hand and a grill or smoker going I am good to go.
