Ever tried twice baked potatoes on the campfire?

I love twice baked potatoes and thought why not give it a try. It was actually requested as it was a friends birthday and we were camping. They turned out wonderful. We first wrapped them in foil and baked them on the grill, then dug out the inside and made the twice baked part and put them on the grate on the campfire. They were delicious!

Sounds wonderful! I love twice baked potatoes too. I always make just regular baked on the campfire, so next time twice baked will be on the menu.

I've only made regular potatoes too on the campfire. I can't imagine it being a lot harder. I love them too. I'm going to give it a try next season! What a great treat. What sort of goodies do you put in your potato?
