What are they? I've never heard of them. Is it something that changes the color of campfire flames? I'm surprised I haven't come across them at Walmart before.

I have never heard of them before until I checked the Camping World website. What's their purpose in the camp fire? Are they useful? I heard that they are just for kids' entertainment.

I've never heard of funky flames. They sound like they would be good entertainment for a night around the campfire. Are they available at stores other than Walmart?

Yeah. I am just guessing they are something to do for fun. It does not look like they have any real purpose other than that. I bet my kids would go crazy over these.

Oh, wow. Thanks for the link, Gracy. I've never seen anything like that before, but the picture looked really cool. I'm going to have to get some of these.

I am sure they would be great to entertain kids with on trips but I doubt I would have much use for them unless maybe it was a party on a beach or something along those lines. Maybe some country back yard fun too.

I have used them from time to time when we are having a bunch of people over for a barbecue. Without fail we all eventually end up around the fire pit at night and I will sometimes toss a few packages in without being obvious. It's fun to watch people's faces light up when they see the colors coming from the pit.

We also used to use them in scouting for story telling time. That's actually how I found out about them years ago.
