Have you ever had to improvise and "make" a grill? I was camping in Mississippi over the summer and I saw a guy using the rim from an 18 wheeler with a grate in it for a grill. My husband calls that "southern ingenuity," lol. Whatever you call it, I thought it was pretty creative.

Heck yes, I've seen this. All you need is a fire ring and a rin works great. You can grill right on the campfire grates at the campsites. We always toss this big piece of metal plating in the fire and cook chicken. It's delicious! Just be sure it's clean!

Lovefall-- how do you clean the metal plating that you use? I love that idea of grilling chicken so easily. What a great idea! I'd have never thought of this on my own.
