Has anyone tried cooking hash browns, camping style? How do you do it the easy way? My family wants hash browns on the camping menu and I haven't tried experimenting about the dish.

We just put them in a frying pan over a coleman stove and it usually works fine. I have been camping before where someone took a toaster oven and cooked the little hash brown patties.
I usually leave the grater home when we're camping. I hate cleaning that thing in my own kitchen let alone while roughing it in the woods I think home fries are easier to make while camping.
