Default Kebabs on the camp

If you're camping and is in the mood to eat some grilled mixed vegetables with chicken/beef/fish meat, then you can prepare grilled kebabs cooked over the grilling pan or fire, if no grillpan available. I get this idea from an Arabian recipe but I made some changes to it as my own style. If it's possible you can marinate the meat in some barbeque marinade for 2 hours at home and prepare the red/green bell peppers (seeds removed, diced), mushrooms (cut in halves) , small onions (peeled) and eggplants (diced) to be packed for the trail. Then they are ready to get grilled when you get to the desired trail, skew them alternately in a bamboo stick and brush some olive oil over them and put them in a griller over a hot fire. Yummy!

We make shish ka bobs all the time. I love them. We soak our veggies and meat in Italian dressing over night, then we stick them on the sticks and put them on the grill. I have never tried to do them on the campfire but I will.

This is something the kids love to make too!

That sounds great to make for a camping trip, nice and easy and fun for the whole family. Next time out we will have to give it a try. Thanks for the idea, would have never had thought about it.

We love kabobs any time of the year. We make them at home a lot too. I just watched a show where the people had kabobs on the grill. The difference between the way I do it and the way they did it was this, they had all like food on 1 skewer. So all chicken on 1, all peppers on 1, all mushrooms on 1, etc. I think this is perfect, the food would cook evenly.
