Default outdoor cooking

We have camped for many years. And out door cooking is a lot of fun. You just don't always have all the conviences of being in your own kitchen. But food taste really good cooked outside.

Outdoor cooking can be fun as long as it is only for a couple of days. It is possible to make an adequate and tasty meal, but I am sure it would become a chore after a couple of days.

I'd rather eat food cooked over an open fire anytime. I think part of it is that it's one of the times where we physically work up an appetite!

I see what you mean about working up an appetite, but I am not keen on outdoor cooking, I don't like things to be charred on the outside and I don't like that taste of smoke.

I love the taste of charred food. It is all a part of being on the trip. I guess that it is an acquired taste, but it does get tired around about the third day.

I love to cook outdoors. I really like the taste of grilled food over the fire. Cannot get that taste when you cook on the stove.

I have a hard time getting used to a completely different source of heat. It's one thing to know exactly how my stove, oven, or microwave cook....and another to try to make an uneven fire do the same thing.
