Popcorn on the fire

Do you make popcorn when camping? We have cooked some over the campfire (jiffy pop) but it always seems to burn. The kids always want popcorn, so I'd love some ideas and tips on how to make the perfect popcorn.

Funny that you mentioned this topic. We just bought a "Rome Popcorn Popper" for over the fire. We haven't had the chance to try it out yet. From what I can tell you add a little oil, fresh popcorn, and shake. It has holes on the top to let the excess heat out I guess?

That sounds pretty neat. Where did you get it and what was the cost? I don't have anything for over the campfire and I would love one. It sounds easy enough too.
