Has anybody cooked risotto while at the camp ground? Is it messy? It is one of my favorite dishes that I make at home. I would try to cook mushroom risotto on my next camping trip.

Making the perfect risotto is such a precise process that I'm not sure I would attempt it over a campfire. I'm sure it can be done though if you have your heart set on it, but it's probably a lot easier in a kitchen.
