Default Simple dessert

This is the simplest dessert to take camping. Buy a can of cherry pie filling. If you buy the kind with the flip top lid you won't even need a can opener. Dump it in a bowl and mix in a package of vanilla pudding mix (we prefer the cheesecake flavor!). Voila! Simple and delicious. Healthy? Eh.

Your simple dessert sounds mouthwatering! I think I'd trade strawberries or even peaches for the cherry pie filling...yum.

This sounds really good... Cherries aren't my favorite pie filling, but I can't see a reason why this method wouldn't work with blueberry pie filling... or pineapple. Yum! Pineapple pie filling and french vanilla pudding maybe?

I should have mentioned that we've also used blueberry pie filling too. And it's just as good, especially with the cheesecake flavored pudding.

I haven't seen pineapple around here but now that you mention it I will have to look!

Sounds yummy and if you had some graham crackers with it it would be like a fruit flavored cheesecake. Sounds easy and tasty we might try this at home tonight!

Wow! What a great idea! I'm looking for camping dessert recipes other than smores and fresh fruit. My family lives for desserts! This sounds delicious and I know my family will love it! Thank you.

I would love to try that one, why didn't I think of that before? I would use the filling as a dipping for ripe bananas, apples or mangoes. Now I'm in the mood for this dessert.
