Default Tin foil dinners

My son is going on a campout with the Boy Scouts in about a month and needs some kind of tin foil dinners. Anyone have some recipes they can share?

Reynolds had some great recipes, I cook sausage, put it in the foil with canadian bacon, onion and diced potatoes. Burrito wraps with salami, pepperoni, ham, onion, tomatoes and wrap it all up. Both are my daughter's favorite.

We have grilled vegetables inside tin foil a lot while camping. We especially like to make cheesy potatoes this way. We just slice potatoes with the skins on, add sliced onions, sharp cheddar cheese, salt and pepper, and some butter and grill until tender. This is a quick, delicious dish that even the kids enjoy.

Breakfast Nest: Prepare one thin sausage patty made from lean country sausage, place on foil; add 3/4-1 cup frozen hash browns creating a nest in center; add one egg to the nest, wrap. Sprinkle with grated cheese just before serving.

Traditional Foil Dinner: Place thin hamburger patty in center of foil. Add thinly sliced carrots, potato cubes, and rings of onion, salt and pepper to taste, wrap. Sprinkle with grated cheese just before serving.

I got my breakfast wraps done I bet egg would be good, but since the daughter doesn't like egg there is none.

We sometimes do flat-bread chicken wraps in the coals.

Basically we pre-cook the chicken (breast) and cut it into strips and along with some mozza cheese, a few orange pepper strips, some greens, ranch dressing and a little BBQ sauce, we make the wrap, package it it tin foil and cook it right in the coals. Delicious, nutritious and easy to prepare. Being pre-cooked, it only takes about 15 minutes in the coals and they're perfect.

Another that can be done this way is perogies, kielbasa, and bacon chunks with some seasoning - nom nom nom!

Polish sausage is wonderful over the fire! It smells so good when it's cooking I can barely wait until it's done. We grill green peppers and onions with it in tin foil. Then we do the packet potatoes which are potatoes sliced thin (skins on) cooked in butter with salt and pepper. Mmmmmmmm

Great tips!
This thread makes me hungry. I love talking about food. Speaking of tinfoil dinner, I always prepare healthy recipe for my kids. It's called Beef Steak with vegetables. I simply put beef steak in the double foil then add vegetables on the top such as cut potatoes and carrots. Add Del Monte tomato sauce then seasonings. Sealed it and bake using your oven. It smells good when cooked.

We cook a lot of fish and vegetables in foil. One of my favorites is salmon marinated in balsamic vinegar with asparagus. A Mexican bake is another good one. Spray foil with non stick spray, then layer refried beans or black beans, black olives, green onions, tomatoes, peppers, cheese, and anything else you might want. You can do that in individual packets and then serve it with tortilla chips.
