Default Tired of the same old thing....

It seems like everytime we go camping, we end up eating the same things....burgers, hotdogs, ribs.
What are some good meals that you make when camping. It would be nice to try something different once in a while.

Some fruit salad and grilled garlic-butter bread, especially crockpot meals. They're good for the snack or main course. Now my mouth is watering upon thinking about them.

I know what you mean, Camp1. We always do the same stuff too, but that stuff is so easy and when we're camping I don't feel like doing anything complicated. Have you thought about cooking a pork tenderloin or doing different marinades on your meat to change up the flavors?

For one of our meals, we usually take two frozen Cornish game hens. They're indv. wrapped and frozen, so they serve to help keep other food cold. We cook it on the first night, right over the campfire. As soon as the breastmeat is done, time to eat.

I can honestly say that I have never ate ribs on a trip in the outdooors, got any tips? Most times we stick with hotdogs and the easy stuff (since the kids want to help too).

The cornish game hens is a great idea! I also would never think about garlic bread.
I do like the crockpot meals, especially when it is colder in the evening.

I think that the kids even get tired of the same old hamburgers and hot dogs.

The last time we went camping, we had goose. It was really good too!

We always have corn on the cob when it is in season. It is easy to cook in the campfire and everyone loves it.
We also bring lots of fruits and popsicles for the kids to munch on.
