I haven't been camping since I was a kid, but I'd love to start going every now and then, and I've talked my husband into it. I don't want to rough it without a tent and I'd like to get one that has some extra room in it, but isn't hard to put up. Can anyone give me an idea of what's available and good?

I am happy with my Coleman and Kelty tents. There are 3 of us and the Coleman tent is a....6 person tent? Nice to have extra room for all the extra clothes and stuff. I think tents are easy to put up, but I always pitch a new tent in the back yard before we go just to make sure there will be no problems before heading out on a camping trip.

I was thinking Coleman would probably be good simply because they have a great reputation with other things. I've never heard of Kelty, but I'll check them out, too. Is there a store anyone would recommend that is less expensive than most?

Coleman is the way to go for both the experienced and novice hiker.Their range of product and their quality is great. Different price ranges too.

We bought a Coleman Instant tent. It is true to the advertisement it takes two adults 1 minute to set up. Coming down was about 4 minutes....It is a two room and we leave the divider open. We can fit two tall queen size beds, a card table and we have two small plastic end tables for our beds...

That sounds pretty good Campermom both in size and ease of setting it up. I am going to have to look into that one when I get a chance.
