| Maps Online Do you folks use any of the online map sites? My favorite is Digital-Topo-Maps.com. You can access topo maps and they also have a hybrid feature, that shows things from an aerial view.

| Nope, I have never heard of these before. They sound great though for our hikes. We usually only camp in campgrounds where they give you a map. We do hike through rural areas and I bet these maps would work great.

| I print Google maps if I need a map of the place where we are going to trek or hike. We usually don't need maps when we are camping because we camp in campsites, like popupgirl does. Anyhow, it doesn't hurt to bring a map if ever you wanted to roam the place outside the camp grounds.

| I was looking into something like that, it might be the thing I was looking for. I would like to put the correct waypoints in my GPS from a map. My local park has a trail map but I cannot find it on any other map.

| My old habit is to buy a map of the area in the store. And old habits die hard. But I use Google maps regularly on the Internet when I'm looking for information.

| I use a geocaching program called GeoBuddy. I can print out my own maps in any scale, customized to my need. I have also bought maps from MyTopo.com. Great quality maps, waterproof too. I'm sure there are other programs out there for printing your own maps.
