Default Cleaning the outside of your trailer

We always clean the outside of our trailer, but seem to have black streaks that we can not get off the trailer. We have tried regular car wash on the trailer and it really doesn't take it off.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried Carburetor cleaner? I know it sounds like an odd thing to try but I know it works on many things. Also how about a Mr. Clean sponge? I've taken off black scuff marks on the wall and floor with one of those.

Do you have pictures by chance?

I always start with the least abrasive and then go on from there. No sense taking more clear coat off then you need too.

Start with a normal polish. Then go to swirl remover, then dual action cleaner/polish, then claybar, then a cut compound. Cut compounds have different grades. Start with the lightest. Once removed, polish and then wax the area to help protect the paint.

See now I have taken off tar from the side of my car with carb cleaner. I've also taken off oil from the car the same way. What have you tried so far?

All trailers get this same things eventually, even mobile homes do. Have you tried just pressure washing it and see if that works? There is also a type of cleaner that big rigs use that is purple in color. I can't think of the name but it works really well on any type of vehicle grime.

Pressure washing is a great idea I would say. The pressure of the water should remove the black marks. I would also give carb cleaner a try. I know my dad uses that often to clean things outside.
