Default Popup pains!

Owning a popup can be such a pain! I love going camping, but can't stand loading the popup, getting there and setting it up, only to get home and take everything out again. There must be an easier way.
How do you make your popup preperation easier?

It's not easy! I think the best advice I can give to you is to take a walk and relax and let your hubby set up. This is what we do, we go for a walk with the kids and the men set up the campers.

I've been curious about that. I'm thinking of buying a PUP but was wondering about space for all my gear. I tent camp now and have everything stored on a 4X8 trailer. It stays loaded at all times except for food, cooler and clothes. If I can't store all my gear in camper then it means loading and unloading at home for each trip. That's why I got the trailer I hate the loading truck before leaving and unloading when getting back home.I'm taking mostly about sleeping bags, lanterns, grill ect ect. Is there room enough in most PUP's for this? Brother in law had one but said they had to load /unload most of thier gear each trip.

The good thing about pop-ups is that you don't have to unload everything every time you camp. You can just leave it in the camper (pending it's clean) and then at the end of the camping season unload it all.

I put some things in totes and kind of categorize them by what is in them. Most of the totes can stay in year round. I have 2 separate totes for cleaning supplies and dry/canned goods (it's just my husband and I that camp most of the time), which can be left in for the season and taken out at the end of the season to avoid critters, freezing, etc. So mostly what I take out every time are refrigerated foods/coolers, laundry, and anything else I want to give a good cleaning before repacking for next trip. But then sometimes the problem is finding a place for storing some of this stuff in the house! Having stuff in totes in a pop-up is why I would like to get a camping trailer some day, to be able to leave stuff in cabinets instead of totes and having more storage space. I find myself sometimes moving totes around to get to what I want. But I probably bring too much with me, anyway!

I leave everything possible inside of our pop up camper so that I don't have all of the unloading and loading to do everytime we use it. The only things I have to take out are food and clothing. As far as setting it up, everyone knows exactly what to do and it only takes 5 minutes maximum to have everything ready to go at the camp site.

I agree, you do not have to unload it every single time just to put it back in again. Why don't you just leave it in. A lot of us do that and it doesn't cause us any problems. Like the others said, food and maybe clothing goes in. Also, we have a system for setting up too. Each person has the same job every single time. Works great.
