Default So.... Are Pop Ups Camping?

Tear drops and pop ups are just lovely looking, but are they really camping? Its not like you are out there and roughing it-it very much looks like a home from home.

I think everybody will have a different view on what camping is to them. I look at it this way - regardless of what I sleep in, tent, Jeep (I run a 4 door Wrangler and I'm short), forest shelter etc. camping is defined by everything else I do while not sleeping.

Seriously? You think my pop-up is like being at home. I don't have a bathroom in my pop-up. My pop-up is small and not very comfy either. I don't have a dining room or a kitchen in my pop-up either. I'd say it's camping!

Camping is different for everyone with the same goal. Getting outside.
Just like working. I can never have a desk job, I need to be moving around and being outside. Some people need a office job. The result is the same. Getting that paycheck.
I started camping under the stars with nothing but the ground and a log for a pillow. Then a sleeping bag, then a tent. Now maybe a camper of some sort.
Different strokes for different folks.

The only pop ups that I've seen online have been very homely, having kitchens and so on. Obviously the more basic pop ups and trailers wouldn't compare or really come into this so I apologise for that.

I guess, it almost seems like compact caravanning with some of these that I've seen lately.

lol- No apologies necessary! I know I've seen some that have a lot of stuff, my old one was just that "old". The owners before me ripped out the sink and everything. It was basically some beds to sleep on.

I'd say popup is the closest to actual tent camping. Actually some might say sleeping in a tent isn't roughing it! Its all how you view what you're doing. "camping" is just a label for being outdoors.
