The heat is always something we fight too. We make sure we get a camp site in the woods so it's shaded. This way we can always get out of the heat when we need too. We also always camp where there are pools.

We usually go camping in the forest by a stream or lake. That way the temperature is naturally about 15 degrees cooler and the lake makes it even more so. Sticking your feet in is a natural temp reducer. I can't camp out in the cold, though. If I'm cold, that's all there is.
