| As long as I have a good sleeping bag and instant coffee for the morning, I'm good to go. When I'm out in the wild, I don't get hungry much.

| I don't sleep under the stars but I don't bring a cell phone or an iPod either. I think camping should be outdoorsy, you don't need those luxuries. I mean each to your own.
I do have a cell phone in the car in case I need it.

| The only thing I would bring as far as a luxury item would be a GPS.

| I bring a book and my Zune. With my Thermarest and bag I really don't call that roughing it.

| I must be a lucky duck. My wife prefers to rough it so we do. She grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere with a wood burning stove and lots of animals, so we enjoy the outdoors together and raise our kids to do so also!

| I worked in the backcountry of Yosemite for 6 months of straight tent camping and it was THE experience of a lifetime. I would recommend it to anyone, however, I don't know if I could do it again. That was nearly 17 years ago ;-)

| I bring my MP3 player with me, but I can never bring myself to use it on the trail or in my tent. I always say I will, but why ruin it?

| I prefer a certain degree of comfort. My idea is that camping should be a fun activity, not a battle against nature's quirks. I generally try to bring at least a few luxuries, but not a toilet, because, after all, it's called "the call of nature" for a reason...

| I bring very few luxuries. I do bring my Ipod and cell phone. Other than that, I want to rough it. It's why I'm out there. If I wanted all the comforts of home, I'd stay home
