Default Truck bed tents

Truck bed tents are all the rave around here. You put them up in the truck bed and then a section of the tent can be put up off the bed. Don't you think this kind of a tent would be a hassle?

I think it would be really easy, easy to set up and perfect to sleep in. Wouldn't take long at all to set-up or take down. I might check into these for our next trips.

I like them. They are easy to take up and put down. Who really wants to be driving all the time anyway. If you take 2 cars camping then they are really amazing because you are off the ground.

I've thought about it. Would get me away from the critters that are on the ground around here. The wife I think might be more into it too.

Sounds easy enough to me. It actually sounds a bit easier than an actual tent on the ground. I usually use the bed for the sleeping bag only though

Whenever I had a truck. I always had a canopy and slept in the box anyway, so I think this wold be a good fit.

What if you have a truck bed liner with the bumps and lumps? Is the bottom of the tent thick enough to keep you from feeling how uncomfortable that would be?

I once built one out of PVC pipes and a large blue tarp. It was a massive blue box on my truck. We took it to Ren Fest. I also had a couch, BBQ pit and ice chest back there. Perfect place to pass out after too much Mead.

Sounds really like a nice setup to me. It would be nice to get up off of the ground and away from the little critters. I think I may have to look for a setup like that. I agree on the wife being a little more agreeable to camping if you are up off of the ground.
