| Blind climbers make it up Mt. Kilimanjaro Wow! I was so amazed when I read a story about these 8 blind hikers making it up Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was quite an accomplishment. Here is the link to a blog on the Foundation for Blind Children that gives a first hand account; SeeKiliOurWay - Blog

| This is very inspiring. If they can do it, why can't we. Right? There is a preacher named David Ring who has cerebral palsy and refuses to use it as an excuse. His line is "I have cerebral palsy, what's your problem."

| Good for them! It always inspires me to see someone beat the odds and this was 8 people! I don't know if I would have the nerve to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro
with all my senses, I sure don't think I could do it blind. They must have nerves of steel! Congrats to them!

| I think I will have more courage to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro if I was blind. Why? Because I will have no idea how high should I climb so I will just follow the person in front of me.
This event just tells everyone that no matter who you are, you can still do anything as long as your heart is in it.

| That really is an inspiring story. It makes you think about all the times in a day or a week or whatever when we think we can't do something. That really is quite an accomplishment.

| That is a great story to think about and reminds me of my buddy. I have a friend of mine in a wheel chair who has managed to help others with disabilities to learn how to ride and operate hot air balloons.

| This just shows that everyone can do anything whoever you may be. I have an aunt that is afraid to go outside because she is used to the comforts of her home. I always think that she is missing half of her life because she doesn't what nature offers.

| I really admire people who are very courageous despite the odds. If these blind hikers can conquer a mountain, how much more to us who doesn't have disabilities?

| Wow! Thanks for sharing this. I have a few folks I know who have climbed Mt. Kilmanjaro and I would like to some day. This sure gives me no reason to not do it.
