Default anyone have a problem with drunk speed boaters?

Had a problem this past weekend. Just a small 17 foot fishing boat, with me and my boy. Some college guys in a speed boat decided to start harassing other boaters. There was a small house boat and a few other fishermen in the area they were doing high speed circles around, high speed pass by's. They started throwing beer cans/bottles at some of the crafts. We ended up having to leave due to their actions. Anyone have problems with these type of people.

Wow. Some people just don't care about themselves or other people. I would have called the Marine Patrol or Sheriff. I hope nobody got hurt due to there carelessness.

I have to agree. I would be on the phone or radio for any sort of marine law enforcement. I'm all for having a good time, but ruining other people's time is not good. Hopefully law enforcement got to them.

That's just so pathetic. I don't understand why some people have to act like complete asses when they're out on a boat or camping or hiking or whatever the case may be. I hope they got caught and fined.

I live near a very, very large lake. We have some of that because we are in a college town too but the rangers are pretty up to speed when they see it. All we have to do is give them a call and they get the situation under control pretty quickly to have such a large area to patrol.

I definitely agree, you should contact the authorities. People like that are not only a nuisance, but they are dangerous as well. Such carelessness can lead to someone getting hurt or worse.

I think this is one more example why boaters should be required to get a license to operate watercraft.

I live very close to the water and there have been several problems with boaters drinking this year. There have actually been a few boat accidents that have ended in death because of it. I would contact the marine patrol.
