Default Breathing

Okay this is a silly question for anyone out there who knows. How exactly do you control your breathing when you scuba? I normally breathe through my nose (more than normal, inhale and exhale). Is this going to be an issue?

most folks I think breath like that, when you are training, you will find that breathing becomes second nature. Contact your local dive shop and ask them about a Discover Scuba class

Yep. Not really an issue. Just don't ever, ever hold your breath while diving.

When the going gets tough, the tough don't notice.

Try snorkling first, great way to relax, just floating around. Get used to breathing through your mouth.

I've actually had trouble breathing through my nose all my life, so I do alright while snorkeling. I really would like to do more diving, but haven't had much opportunity...

Benny is a mouth breather! JK!

Just take it slow and focus on breathing until you relax .
