We are not made of money (as most are not) but we are thinking for a summer get away next summer that we want to go somewhere and learn to scuba dive. I am not sure where we are planning for, but the place also needs to be kid friendly.

Oh, that sounds like fun! I don't know of any places that do that but it would be so neat to go somewhere to learn a skill like that. I love to be in the water and I've snorkeled many times but I haven't scuba dived.
A friend of mine actually was able to do a scuba dive while he was visiting family in Austrailia. I was surprised becasue he had no experience in diving. I thought you had to have some training He said it was one of the best things he's ever splurged on.
Many resorts will offer scuba diving lessons and then take you out. My sister did this when she was in Cancun. What a great experience for the whole family!
