Injured?

Have you ever get serious injury during your trekking vacations? How did you cope with it? I guess it didn't stop you from doing the hobby again. Or did it?

After a day out trekking in the snow I came home to find the back steps needed shoveling, As I started from the top, I was at the 9th step from the bottom when it gave way and I fell through the steps. I remember hitting my side on the way down. After that, the next thing I remember was waking up looking at at the bottoms of the steps. Couldn't have been out for to long, I ended up cracking a rib and tearing some connective tissue along the rib cage.

Yes I did go back to shoveling steps again!

If I was backpacking and my life depended on just me...I would reach down and pull out what I know I have and that is survival and the will to live...... so many of us have the will to do this......and many have lost the WILL and have become dependent on a leader to dictate our direction. (do I want to get out or live or suffer?) how bad do I want to get out of this situation?.....I have been in that situation and many would be surprised on what they would and will do to expedite there means to get help......those who do not have this I wish you God speed.
There are Leader and there are followers ...but when it comes to life or death....it's totally up to DO YOU know who you are.
