| I used to get shin splints when I ran until I found out that my feet over prownate (sorry I'm not sure how you spell it). Basically my feet roll in when I run.
Once I found that out and I got the proper types of shoes with arch supports, shin splits became a thing of the past for me.
Take a look at the bottom of the shoes you wear, especially the old ones. If the bottom of your shoes seem more worn on one edge rather than in the middle, then you may have an issue with your feet and you may need a certain type of insole for your shoes.
