I just heard on the news yesterday that there was snow in 49 of the 50 states. That is unheard of! We have some snow but not a ton. We went out on a hike today through the back woods. Just put on our winter boots and went out.
Is the snow stopping you from hiking?

I wish I could say that the snow is stopping me...but alas we have no snow here in Coastal Washington. Of course there is snow in the mountains but I miss Maine where there is snow everywhere. It's funny, I just moved away from Northern Virginia about a year and a half ago. Most snow I saw there in three years was about 6 inches.

The snow isn't stopping me, but perhaps that is because I am in the Caribbean. I've hiked in the snow before though and, as long as it's not too cold, I find it quite refreshing.
Right now it is slowly driving me mad. No weather station can properly predict anything. They say snow, we get rain. They say sleet we get ice. They say sunny we get rain. Its different every day and with kiddos stuck inside my marbles are all about gone.

I hear ya. We usually don't do much hiking during the Winter months. We do some cold weather sports (my oldest loves hockey) and try to keep them busy until the Spring weather kicks in.
