I live in an area that is constantly under a flash flood warning. The Weather Channel as well as the local meteorologists will put out the watches or warnings. Personally, I don't pay attention to it anymore because we're under a warning every time it rains so I'm just used to it.
There are always warning signals from the watchers who are stationed way up to the source of the river, so there is less danger of being caught in a flash flood.
