Default Swimming classes

We want to make sure that the kids are going to have no issues when we take them on the water but I am wondering from others who have enrolled their kids in swimming classes. We would rather know 100% that the kids are ready but we are still unsure for this coming summer if they will be able to handle it.

Be able to handle it? You mean be able to handle swim lessons? Kids as young as 6 months can start swim lessons in a parent/ infant class and then 3 years old in a group swim lesson class. Check your local Red Cross, YMCA or Recreation center for class availability in your area.

We always meant to get the kids swimming lessons but had a hard time fitting it in to the daily schedule. We ended up just teaching them to swim ourselves. Some children have a natural knack for it and others need more help.

It's good to teach the kids to swim yourself. While they are ready to learn swimming, some children maybe just too young to feel comfortable being trained by strangers.
