Have you ever gotten in trouble?

I was with some friends camping last week and we had the ranger come up to us and scold us for playing horseshoes after dark. We couldn't figure out what he was talking about and we told him we weren't playing. It turned into a fiasco. After he left though, we were drinking another round of beer and throwing the bottles into our bag. It clicked. The glass was pinging. LOL.

Sounds like an honest mistake. But you have to admit, jumping to the conclusion of a game of horseshoes is something of a stretch. I don't think I would have ever guess bottles clinking in a bag would be a game of horseshoes.

I guess the moral of the story is, try to keep it down after dark. Sound carries better when the sun goes down. I'm sure the ranger was just looking out for other campers.

But ... horseshoes? Really? LOL.

That is one of the enjoyments of camping too close to the roads. You got to find a nice dirt road that goes into the middle of no place accessible to most people.
