What's Your Favorite Camping Story

Everyone seems to have one, so what is yours?

I went camping with some friends when I was in High School. We went to the Enchanted Rock park near Fredericksburg, TX. It was a lot of fun. There were 6 of us and we all crammed into one tent at night because that's all we had and it was cold. We got a great spot next to the bathrooms, which was great. We had a lot of fun climbing the rock and hiking the trails around it.

This was the first time we'd taken our children camping. They were about five and three. The kids had a marvelous time with it. Early one morning we decided to go for a walk along the trails. Our son spotted a couple walking a puppy that looked like a Chihuahua, except it had long, spindly legs. (Sorry, I'm not much of an authority on dogs. ) He got all excited and said, "Look, a baby deer!" Our daughter got excited as well. They stood there, staring at the puppy like this was an amazing thing. The couple were really sweet and let the kids look at the puppy, and didn't spoil the kid's "discovery".
That's my favourite camping story.

I really had fun on my first camping.
We were 7 friends. went to a near by hill-station in our vacations.
It was really fun. We did a lot of enjoyment. Tried being at unknown places at great heights. Screamed out loud in empty areas. Did a lot of "discovery"

Once when i was camping with my brothers.
We went for a river crossing.
It was a great fun. the water was really cool and the surface was very uncomfortable to walk.
The water level was much high. We enjoyed a lot. we used a rope to cross the river.

My favorite camping story would be how I got my family get together and we had created a bon fire which we ept lit of atleast 1 whole nite and had a good booze of drinks...it is all fun that way and it is very good to camp near some river side because the climate wil be soothing

My camping story was some what unique. I met a girl in Australia when I went for camping. We liked our company and married her. We are very happy and planning a trip to Lady Musgrave Island in the near future..
