Oddest animal you have ridden?

I've heard some stories from some friends that they rode cows when they were kids. They didn't have horses so their dad put them on a cow. It was a pet cow and friendly. I find it very odd.

I'm a member of the cow riding club myself, but the cows weren't cooperative. When I was a kid, a friend and myself would climb the one tree in his fathers pasture, wait for a cow to walk under it and jump on. The rides usually weren't long, but they were exciting. Things got really exiting the day my friends father saw what we were doing.

I rode a camel at the Bronx Zoo one time. It was quite an odd ride. I am an experienced horseback rider, but the way a camel moves is very, very strange and lumbering. Every step they take makes you feel like you're riding a huge wave, lol.

Lol! That is too funny! My dad used to put me on the backs of the pigs when I was little, about 3 but he would always hold onto me. The only strange animal I have ridden as an adult is an elephant.

I also am a member of the cow riding club. My uncle had horses and cows. He put me on the back of a cow one time and stayed right beside me. I was probably five or six. I have also ridden and elephant and a camel at our local zoo.

I've ridden cows, horses, dogs (when I was a small child and on a huge dog), camel, and elephants. Last two were at the zoo and I loved it. I just don't like the fact that camels spit and bite. I managed to evade both but it put me off camel riding forever!

Oh my! I never heard so many people riding cows. I have to admit I put my daughter on the back of our dog when she was a baby.
I love the sight of jumping onto a cow!
An elephant! How cool is that!
