Default biking on the road

I use my bike right now to commute to work. I was curious about how many places actually have bike lanes. We don't have them where I am, but we're really trying to get some put in.

We don't have them here either but we also barely have a driving road so I can't expect too much out of them I guess.

I live in town but I don't work. I do ride a three wheel bicycle though and have a blast. I bike down to the library and back a few times a week. They have all sorts of programs to participate in.

Unfortunately we do not have them either here in my town. Most vehicle share the roads though. I ride my bike in town a lot and never have any problems. Of course you always get that 1 crazy driver.

No bike lanes here. I usually try and use side walks though. People tend to walk in the street anyway here, so I might as well use them.

Well I don't know where everyone else is from but back home in Maine bike lanes are far to futuristic for us.

I've been in northern Virginia (little D.C.) and they have bike lanes all over, now I'm in Olympia, WA (south of Seattle) and there are bike lanes everywhere here also.

Bike lanes -
I suggest you approach your city council about the installation of a bike lane. You may als want to see if you have a local or state bike coalition, or Department of Transportation
In Tucson, we are very pro-active on bike safety, both cyclists & motorists.
To quote a sticker I see in Tucson -"Share the Streets - give a bike Five Feet". I have one one my car - it's also about awareness.

Path closing in, although still nicer then some stuff we ended up going through. Lots of spider webs, thankfully I had my walking stick.
