Lures or live bait?

I prefer live bait. I had a lure as a kid that looked and acting like a bait fish that had been cut if half. It flailed around literally like a fish with its head cut off. Unfortunately, a large something (bass?) took it from me one day. I have never found a lure since that looked like it, or that was as effective. I prefer live bait now, as I catch more fish with it.

It's been quite a while since I've fished, but I had my best luck with live bait too.

I remember I tried using a Red Devil lure when I was a kid. I haven't seen one of those for a while. I wonder if they're still as popular as they were?

I have always had better luck with live bait then lures. Even frozen bait works better for me then lures. But I still give them a shot.

I have had good luck with both. I look at both as tools. Sometimes you might need one type of tool, sometimes another will work.
