The Pocket Fisherman?

My brother-in-law loves to fish. He has tons of equipment, rods, reels, lures...but, he keeps talking about how he would like to have a Pocket Fisherman. I was wondering, has anyone here actually used one? Can you really catch anything with it?

I've thought about them before. I always thought they were neat and would be fun to have in the truck. I keep hearing mixed reviews. Some say they work and use them, others day they do not.
