I was just outside the bay of Miami with some friends scuba diving. It was a perfect day and the water was almost like glass. Three of us were diving and I felt something brush against me. I thought it was one of my friends so I did not even bother looking back right away. Finally, I turned my head and there was a Hammerhead shark and he must have been about 14 feet long. Yes, my heart did jump and other stuff. It was like he was checking me out and then he just drifted away. I'm glad he wasn't hungry.

That is both exciting and scary JimW67. Sharks don't normally attack for no reason, although we have all heard of the occasional attack on swimmers. Did your friends see it?

Jim,
You used up one of your nine lives. Hammerheads have a bad reputation for attacking people. I have snorkeled with sand sharks far off shore, moray eels, and lots of manta rays, but never anything as dangerous as a hammerhead.
