That seems to be the biggest issue when I go out fishing- the turtles are everywhere! Recently, I've been catching more turtles than I've been catching fish- and the snapping turtles, though small, are a force to be reckoned with when taking the hook out of their mouths. I wish I had a taste for turtle to just bring these fellas home with me. What pests they are.

Agreed. Caught the biggest painted turtle I ever saw catfishing. Stinking dogfish and sheep's head or drum are a pest also.

I never had trouble with sheep's head or drums. But yes, I enjoy catfishing a lot. It's what I focus on every time I go out to the lake, but I swear, at least half of my baits are taken by turtles! Silly things. Makes me regret wanting to keep one as a pet back when I was a kid.
