Just cause yall aint out and about and camping don't mean ya can't post something every once and a while. This aint camping but its country boy living and cooked in a black iron pot so it will hafta do till I drag out my hand lines or fire up da pit or something. It is a story about how stuff gets traded in our neck of the woods and a good thing to do when ya got some cabbage and the same ole slaw is getting old. A Cajuns answer to most things like this is to smother them. Give it a read and let me know what yall think.

*sigh* been too warm here for the cabbage to grow. Yours looks good and I do love me some cabbage even if the wife does not like it when I eat it.

Well, I got fifty acres, Cappy. So growin cabbage ain't that big a deal. I used to do it when I was a kid and sell it by the head. Now I just grow the brussel sprouts cuz they're easier. But if you get a good head of cabbage and do a boil with some cayenne added to it, it does make a good side dish for sausage.

Am definatelly gonna be trying brussels I didnt know they grew this far south but they do.
